From Milly's last litter I definitely wanted to keep a female, mostly because we expected puppies with very good working ability, and I needed a female with strong and good herding instinct, but also with a stable, durable mind and character. In my opinion those are the qualities of a potential trial and farm dog, who is also a good fellow in everyday life.
I could not have even choose better! Meggy has it all! She's not only having a strong herding instinct, but she can use it in a proper way. She can control different, both heavy and light sheep, because she can decide whether to switch on/off her power, and pushing the sheep only a bit or much - depends on the situation. She's one of the most stable and steady dog I know, she has a clear and calm mind. She can work with using her intelligence to solve any problem or new situation that occurs during work. If it's about work, she's unworldly. Her stamina and will-to please are limitless, we can do anything, because she's always enthusiastic and works on the maximum level, it is easy to handle her.
Outside of the fields, she can be motivated in a blink of an eye, she loves playing with literally anything: from a small piece of grass (if I don't have anything in my pocket for her) to normal dog toys - desperate times call for desperate measures. :) She has a huge feeling for waters, jumps into them whenever she sees one, she can get herself even into a small puddle. We do some obedience for fun, she enjoys the tasks, just because it is work and she loves working.
The most important thing for me is, that besides all of these, she has balanced, stable mind and a good temperament. She's only sensitive when it's needed, she can stand any level of pressure. She's kind, can be a little kitty sometimes, she loves anybody who is willing to play with her. I often brought her to my university, using the public transports, going into huge crowds, going for sightseeing in the capital of Hungary - even at the first time she behaved like she would have always been living there. She is not afraid of anything new, she's discovering them with curiosity and braveness, never loses her mind. For her appearance she's got light bones, harmonic body structure, she's looks just how a working BC should look like - I think. We have big plans for the future, mostly attending to several herding trials and gaining a lot of working experience.
